Losses totaling $1,903 were reported after a Monday night break in at Bonnett Foreign Car and Cycle, 854 Forty-fourth Street SE. Goods valued at $1,895 and about $8 cash were taken along with $800 worth of tools and a $1,095 motorcycle. IT PAYS TO ADVERTISE.

The Kalamazoo Gazette reported two callers said a man resembling Bremer attended the Saturday Wallace rally in Kalamazoo. Mrs. John Bleeker and June McNett identified him from TV photos after Wallace was shot Monday in Maryland. Wallace campaigned in Michigan for the Tuesday presidential primary.
Jennie L. Anderson aged 81 of 2261 C street SW widow of John Peter Anderson and long time Cedar Rapids resident died Monday after a long illness. Born November 17 1890 in Paynesville Minnesota she married in Valley City North Carolina August 10 1926. She was a Free Methodist church member and is survived by a sister and three brothers. Services at Beatty Bearle chapel with interment Cedar Memorial.
Lillian M. Bosley died December 21 after a long illness. Born March 30, 1894 in Schuyler Nebraska, she married Clyde Bosley on November 28, 1919. She worked as a secretary and co directed the YMCA with her husband. Survived by daughters Mrs James Pugh Osceola Indiana and Mrs Norman Gaedtke West Linn Oregon, plus four grandchildren. Private services were held December 22 in North Manchester with cremation. Burial Cedar Memorial. Arrangements by Cedar Memorial funeral home.
Ethel R. Outland 84 former Coe College professor emeritus dies March 4 in Granville Ohio. A committal service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Riverside cemetery Anamosa, conducted by Dr Joseph Mc Cabe chancellor. Cremation followed a memorial service March 8 in Granville. She retired from the Coe faculty in 1949 and was the first woman to teach journalism at the college level in the United States.
Margaret Bock 93 of Walnut Creek California and former Cedar Rapids resident died Sunday. She lived in Cedar Rapids from 1935 to 1950 then moved to California to live with a daughter. Survived in Iowa by daughter Mrs Richard C Novak of Cedar Rapids. Services Thursday 11 a.m. at St Raphael's Cathedral Dubuque burial at St Catherine's Cemetery St Catherine's.

Paul V. Straka, 65, longtime Clinton resident and former Cedar Rapids native, died Monday. Born March 26, 1907 in Cedar township, he leaves three sons Clyde and Joseph and Donald, plus Darlene Straka, all in Iowa, and a daughter. Services set for Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Snell-Smith Funeral Home Clinton with burial at Clinton Memorial Park.

Francis B Thorn 67 of Taft hotel and longtime Cedar Rapids resident since 1936 died Tuesday after a long illness. Born November 29, 1904 in Marshalltown he was an interior decorator. Survived by daughter Linda Klines and three brothers. Services at Turner Chapel East at 3 p.m. Thursday with burial at Anderson Cemetery near Swisher. Friends may call at Turner East until 2 30 p.m. Thursday. casket will not be opened after the service.
E. E. Richardson Jr., 65, of Fargo North Dakota formerly of Cedar Rapids died in Minneapolis on Tuesday. He had been employed by International Harvester while in Cedar Rapids. No immediate survivors in Eastern Iowa. Services are pending at Fargo.
The report details Maryland and Michigan Democratic primaries with polls from early morning to evening. Nixon expected to win GOP contests. Wallace gains in Florida Tennessee and North Carolina while Humphrey and McGovern seek strong showings in Maryland and Michigan suburbs. The shooting of Alabama's governor interrupts the campaign as McGovern and Humphrey seek momentum toward California's June 6 primary.
McGovern, addressing about 800 supporters at Kalamazoo airport, learned of the Wallace shooting and called it a savage act. He canceled his California and Oregon campaign stops, returning to Washington. Humphrey, in Baltimore, called the incident sad and said he would skip active campaigning in Oregon and New Jersey before California.
Jean Oxley announces candidacy for Linn County supervisor on the Democratic ticket. She chairs the Linn County Democratic Central Committee, teaches, and operates a farming business with husband Myron east of Marion.
Governor George Wallace remained in good spirits after being wounded at a campaign rally in the Laurel Maryland shopping center. Arthur Bremer of Milwaukee was arrested and charged with shooting Wallace and with assaulting a federal officer.
U S military and Vietnamese forces report a slowdown in the 48 day offensive as air power targets logistics. U S comm unique notes destruction of fuel pipelines and multiple rail and road interdictions. Authorities tally hundreds of aircraft missions against North Vietnam since May 8 with substantial material losses.

He stated as a government official he is entitled to access it, while noting if not, something is very wrong. Scott said Gravel was protected from prosecution by immunity but the Senate must police its members.
Pentagon sources said the USS Ticonderoga will be dispatched to the Gulf of Tonkin. This brings carrier strength there to seven, the highest concentration since major Pacific battles in World War II.
Prague AP reports Frantisek Bartos, a prominent Czechoslovak historian, has died at age 83. His scholarly work shaped modern depictions of Central European history and he remained active in research circles until his passing.
