Property owners agree to $400 000 in reduced settlements and Marion plans at least $50 000 in public services toward the project with groundbreaking aimed for late summer and a spring opening of the mall and parking.
A three minute videotape from Islamic Jihad for the Liberation of Palestine shows Alain Steen, 48, of Boston, alive and speaking despite earlier claims by captors of his imminent death. Steen, held since Jan 24 with other teachers, condemns U.S. policy and reiterates the captors demand to free 400 Arab prisoners.
