Windermere reserves recruit carries own gun and relies on mother for ammo
Windermere Florida police reservist Pam Mullins 19 says federal law bars buying ammunition for a revolver under 21 so her mother buys bullets for her. Mullins trained at Seminole Junior College and works as a dispatcher for Orange County sheriff. Windermere has a small force with one gun and few crimes. Mullins was appointed three weeks ago and is praised as capable and personable.
