Springville man convicted of sexually abusing two children
Damian James Hunter, 38, of Springville, was convicted Thursday on amended charges related to sexual abuse of two girls ages five and six in 2018 and 2019 in Fairfax. He pleaded to lascivious acts with a child and indecent contact, faces up to seven years per count, with a recommended suspended sentence and five years probation. He will be listed on the sex offender registry and subject to 10 years of special parole, with no contact orders for the victims. A sentencing hearing is set for May 28 in Linn County District Court.
