Robin Hood Reimagined as a Violent Action Epic
Ebert criticizes Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood as a high tech brutal prequel that discards legend for CGI battles and muscular combat. Crowe leads a weary militia tale where Marion is a widow and Sherwood is a war zone, with remarkable photography but little genuine interest in prior versions.
