County aims for health building plans by year end
Johnson County officials hope to secure land and design plans for a new Health and Human Services building by year end. The project north of the Administration Building at 913 S Dubuque St would consolidate public health and human services, with an estimated eight million dollar cost and completion by late 2007.

North Liberty Seeks Grant to Clean Muddy Creek Hazard
City officials plan to obtain a grant to remove contaminants from Muddy Creek including chloride E coli and nitrogen. The sources are the wastewater plant with tests by the Iowa Water Coalition and DNR showing unsafe levels near three elementary schools.
