Marion chickens battle over city animal ordinance
Marion residents spar with City Council over adding chickens to the list of permitted pets. Mayor Vic Klopfenstein and three council members voted yes while four others opposed, arguing chickens are livestock. If approved Lammers would need a permit and neighbors could object. The article also covers Linn County web site expansion and a May 30 budget hearing.
