Linn County Holds Meeting On Bridge Replacement Program
Linn County will host an informational meeting at 7 p m on Thursday May 19 to explain the Federal Bridge Replacement Program and its impact. County Engineer Jerry Nelson notes 264 bridges were inspected and razed by the IDOT, with funding uncertain and selection by the Board of Supervisors pending.

Three Arrested on Drunken Driving Charges in Linn County
Three people were arrested and charged with drunken driving in Linn County late Wednesday and early Thursday. John L. Brundage 24 of Winnetka Illinois was arrested near 2 a.m. Thursday in Mount Vernon for drunken driving speeding disobeying a traffic signal and license violations. Greg A. Driscoll 20 of Marion was arrested at 10 40 p.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of First Avenue East for drunken driving and defective tires. Angelette S. Heiden 20 of rural Marion was arrested at 1 40 p.m. Thursday at First Avenue and First Street SW for drunken driving.
