Linn-Mar considers student walking option to cut bus costs
At a board meeting the Linn-Mar district discussed letting fifth through twelfth graders from Linwood Acres and Monterey Meadows walk to schools if safe crossing on North Tenth Street is set. Transportation chief Jerry Williams estimated bus discontinuation could save about 1400 dollars annually. Superintendent Glen Easterday presented the proposal noting 48 kindergarteners through fourth graders were involved in the discussion.
