Smallmouth Bass Flourish on Whitewater Creek Recovery
An unscientific survey by Mike Jacobs, Doug Nauman, and another observer counted 50 smallmouth bass in a 3.5 mile stretch of Whitewater Creek near Whitewater Canyon. The area suffered a manure related fish kill last September, with DNR biologist Dan Kirby noting dead fish along the stream and environmental specialist Sue Miller citing multiple possible pollution sources.
