Wellmark Opts Out of Iowa ACA Marketplace for Third Year
Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield will not participate in the ACA health care exchange this year, citing the small business SHOP requirement. The Des Moines insurer will raise 2016 rates 26 to 28 percent for about 30,000 Iowa enrollees and expects to join the federal exchange in the future.
