iCake founder Ra shika Gadkari turns baking into help for front-line workers
West High School junior Ra shika Gadkari started iCake in September after baking for years and turning a hobby into a business that donates up to 20 percent of earnings to charity. She began with orange flavor, runs a small online shop, and aims to inspire others to support their communities with gifts like cupcakes. The venture, funded by a $1,000 parental investment, has gained local momentum and she plans to major in business in college while becoming the youngest member of the Technology Association of Iowa.
