Libyan Diplomats Ordered Out After U.S. Standoff

Four Libyans suspected of intimidating exiles in Washington will leave the United States by Sunday under a U.S. State Department agreement. Libyan officials say the four, not formal diplomats, will be surveilled by the FBI during their departure while 24 other Libyans' diplomatic status is reviewed.

Apple blossom time at Morgan Creek Park Arboretum

Restraining order to avert C and N W strike

A federal judge issued a temporary restraining order delaying a 3500 C and N W Railroad employee strike that would halt service in 10 states including Iowa. The order lasts until 6 p m Sunday May 18 with a hearing set on the meal privilege dispute next Friday.
