Salvation Army Community Outreach in Cedar Rapids
The Salvation Army mobilizes 800 to 900 local volunteers yearly in Cedar Rapids and runs programs serving 50 000 free meals annually. It provides over 100 000 in rent and utilities aid, reaches 3 000 youth and 1 500 seniors, operates EDS canteen outreach, summer day camps, and a near Peoria camp, plus food boxes, after school with Boys and Girls Club since 2008, and Toys for Tots drives delivering 20 000 toys to 2 000 Linn County children.
