Linn County Attainment Status Brings Shield for Industry Growth
Linn County remains within federal ozone standards since fall 1978, earning an attainment classification by the EPA. The change allows hydrocarbon emitters such as plastic makers and spray paint operations to expand or locate plants here, with typical readings at .02 to .03 ppm.
