Bank Examiner to Face Embezzlement Charge Trial
A Washington bank examiner is being returned to the capital for trial on charges of embezzlement. The case concerns alleged misappropriation of about $4000 from a closed bank during his tenure as a cashier and representative. The events trace to accusations of theft tied to a home transfer and the examiner’s actions while in office. Local authorities say the case centers on the state bank department and the examiner’s links to the missing funds.
