Alliant Energy Posts Q1 2016 Net Income 96.5M
Alliant Energy reports first quarter 2016 net income of 96.5 million or 0.86 per share, down slightly from a year earlier as warmer weather reduced heating demand. Revenue fell to 843.8 million from 897.4 million, with earnings pressured by milder temperatures but offset by higher funds used during construction and lower energy efficiency costs. The Marshalltown gas plant is about 73 percent complete with total capex expected near 700 million.
