Cedar Rapids official to add asbestos sheet with home permits
City official Matt Widner will include an asbestos information sheet with every home renovation permit. The move follows a DNA finding that the Block by Block flood recovery program mishandled federal rules on asbestos. Inspections continue on other homes as Block by Block works with an asbestos specialist to clear six homes.
