Corrections for Wednesday Collision and Iowa Artists Results

Clarifications correct that Robert E. Brooks was involved in a Wednesday collision at Eighth Avenue and Fifth Street SE, not the other driver. Brooks faced several charges after his pickup collided with Daniel L. Seeman's vehicle, which overturned. Seeman’s truck struck Brooks after Brooks failed to yield. Robert Smith of Cedar Rapids won first place in the Amateur Iowa Artists state competition, not second as previously reported. Gazette will publish corrections upon review.
