Linn-Mar FFA Drives $95,000 Dream For Aquaculture Lab

Marion Linn-Mar FFA members have raised 35000 toward a 130000 goal to double aquaculture lab space at Linn-Mar High School. Led by Chris Novy and James Jordan, the group has spoken to donors district wide since mid March, aiming to expand a greenhouse laboratory shared with other programs. The program now trains students to test water quality manage recirculating systems and design facilities, inspired by South Putnam High School’s model seen at a national convention. The school seeks 95000 more to fund the project and extend hands on learning in aquaculture.
