Two committees led by A L Killian and Robert C Armstrong launch a 1938 campaign at St Luke's to retire capital debt and fund new wing units through memorial gifts and bond subscriptions. Memorial units range 600 to 12000 dollars with six yearly payments and bronze wall plaques.
Mr. and Mrs. John Vondra of 149 Sixteenth Avenue SW marked their fifty sixth wedding anniversary with a basket dinner at home last Sunday. Mr. Vondra is 80 and Mrs. Vondra 82, joined by daughters Mrs. John Vorel and Mrs. Frank Barta and son Fred Vondra, plus relatives from nearby Curtis Walford and Cedar Rapids.
