Timmy Evans Brightens Cedar Rapids Music Week
A two and a half year old Timmy Evans of Cedar Rapids delights watchers with singing and dancing during music week activities. He recalls a growing local concern as federal wage and hour law tests the Amana Society’s move from communal to corporate structure. The dispute centers on whether joint owner workers must fall under the wage and hour provisions, risking division among neighbors and possible closure of Amana woolen mills if farm holdings can’t supply enough employment.
