Davenport eyeing 800 million data center for 50 jobs
A Davenport based company, Vemerald LLC, considers an 800 million data center on a 328 acre northwest Davenport site to create about 50 high paying jobs. The project would seek state High Quality Jobs incentives and a 60 percent 20 year property tax exemption, with the city projecting net gains in property tax revenue over 20 years.
