Women Seek Cash Wages in R F C Projects
A group of ten unemployed Linn county women urged the board of supervisors to pay part of their R F C wages in cash instead of store orders. The county emergency relief committee handles cash policy, which may allow five cents an hour in cash, but the board deferred to the committee. The women cited rent, shoes, medicine, and small purchases that cash would cover, noting some already began a county sewing project in the county building.
