Wheel Room Bar at ULI to Close This Weekend
The University of Iowa student run Wheel Room bar will close Saturday due to large financial losses. The executive board of Iowa Student Agencies made the decision on the recommendation of ISA General Manager Les Chisholm, who noted a $709 loan taken to cover two weeks of expenses and an expected monthly loss of $1,000 to $1,500 if kept open. The ISA has accused the regents of restrictive hours, hindering fair competition with downtown taverns, and said reopening by summer session is unlikely.
