Julie Ann Heberlein a Luther College junior won the Miss Decorah title at Decorah junior high auditorium. First runner up Catherine Ann Hoilien and second runner up Debra Engelstad joined the field of seven contestants. Miss Iowa 1970 Cheryl Brown made a guest appearance during the evening.

Iowa City reports the State Services for Crippled Children will hold a diagnostic and evaluation clinic in Dubuque on May 25 at Mercy Medical Center School of Nursing. Eligible are children under 21 from Cedar, Clayton, Clinton, Delaware, Dubuque, Jackson, Jones, Linn and Scott counties. Examinations by pediatrics, orthopedics, psychology, speech and hearing therapy, nursing, and social work provided free. referrals should reach SSCC 14 days before.

Fest Ends As Iowa Crowd Packs Lake Macbride
Hundreds of sightseers left the Lake Macbride field campus Sunday disappointed as 10 000 participants in a peace festival and rock fest dispersed. By Sunday afternoon cleanup was nearly done. Police said traffic and disorder were light compared with football crowds. Three drug charges and about a dozen liquor offenses were filed. Coalition organizers praised turnout though some leaders say protests could be better aimed at public venues. Plans for May 5 events and a Des Moines march were announced.
