16-year-old Cedar Rapids student identified in bank robbery killing

Police identified Ryan N. Washburn as the 16-year-old Cedar Rapids high school junior linked to a bank robbery and fatally shot while fleeing outside the Mercantile Bank on Old Marion Road. Washburn was reported missing Wednesday after leaving Washington High School. Investigators noted a separate Norwest Bank robbery case with a white male suspect.
