National Day of Prayer services planned in Cedar Rapids
Cedar Rapids observes National Day of Prayer with two services. Linn County Association of Evangelicals sponsors a 12:20 to 12:40 p.m. service on Mays Island Plaza in front of City Hall, and First Lutheran Church hosts a noon ecumenical service themed Let Us Pray, with intercessory prayers, worship, and a nursery provided.

Revival preacher C Warren Johnson to lead Vinton revival
82 year old Rev. C Warren Johnson returns to where his ministry began after a 60 year journey through California Crescent City served five years there and evangelistic years in the South Pacific. The revival at Vinton First Assembly of God runs 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday to Friday. Johnson emphasizes salvation and calls on all to seek Heaven.
