Geneva Tower marks decade of service for elderly residents
Geneva Tower celebrates ten years as an apartment complex for the elderly in Cedar Rapids. First manager Glen Brehm recalls early struggles in a building under construction and an elevatorless ascent to his office. First tenant Velma Hinton moved in May 1 after a lock scare. Don Ward joined soon after with a tool set in hand, and Don Gray now oversees administration. The 192 unit complex hosts about 204 residents with an average age of 75.
