Emerald Knights Drum Corps rehearse for a big season in Cedar Rapids
The Emerald Knights Drum and Bugle Corps begin a new season with a Lions Parade appearance in Cedar Rapids and plan events across Iowa. They have a five year lease on a new home, ordered two buses costing over 100000, and face a 94000 budget for all activities. The group, formed in 1965, welcomes about 60 members from Cedar Rapids and nearby towns, with 12 instructors guiding 13 to 21 year olds through practices, camps, and weekend events.
