Cedar Valley Nature Trail paving finished ahead of schedule
Weather allowed crews to complete the final two inches of asphalt on the Cedar Valley Nature Trail between Tower Terrace and County Home roads, reopening the section. A four inch overlay from North Center Point Road to County Home Road leaves more work forthcoming, including planting 1,300 plants mid May and a box culvert under County Home Road starting June 1. The project, costing about $390,000, will raise the user fee to $12 annually and $3 daily, with passes at Linn County Recorder's Office and nearby stores.
