Delayed National Advanced Driving Simulator faces rising costs
Federal funding for the Iowa City project now totals about 50.5 million dollars after years of delays and technical glitches. The 3-ton simulator, built in a 5.7 million facility, uses a domed motion system to study driver behavior and has yet to secure auto industry participation.
