Forest and Stream Shooting Trials Showcase Team Dog-Human Effort
National Shoot to Retrieve Association members describe trials as close to real hunting with dogs and owners teaming to hunt, point, flush, and retrieve. Thirty-two dogs ran Saturday and Sunday at Hawkeye Wildlife Area with judges, scoring, and varied cover as top German Shorthaired Pointers Cindy, Hill Haven Samson, and Nobby led in weekend results.
