London Premieres Churchill Film At Royal Festival Hall

The world premiere of The Finest Hours, the Churchill biopic, drew tears and cheers in London at the Royal Festival Hall. Sir Winston Churchill was absent, but Clementine Churchill attended with dignitaries including Lord Avon, Anthony Eden, Lord Ismay, and Prince Philip. Churchill had a private screening two weeks earlier at Chartwell estate.

Dance Tryouts For "My Fair Lady" Set For Saturday

Dance tryouts for My Fair Lady will be held Saturday at the Dieman Bennett Studio of the Dance located at 319 Third Street SE at 4 30 p.m. in Panama. U S and Panamanian negotiators will meet next week but not part at this time to take up canal dispute basics until mid May. The musical opens July 19 as Cedar final production.

Rapids Community Theater Seeks Seamstresses for My Fair Lady

The costume designer Mrs James Maloney announced openings on the staff for an experienced seamstress to chair the costume construction crew and for seamstresses to assist in sewing the costumes. Piece work may be taken home. Volunteers should call EM 3 8139.
