Rug weaving keeps 83 year old Tom Septer joyful life
Illersburg resident Tom Septer, age nearly 83, weaves rugs as a hobby and occupation despite a back injury. Since 1960 he has sold rugs coast to coast, uses a loom at home for about six hours daily, and credits neighbor Mrs. Carroll Hamen as essential help. He leads the Old Threshers Drum corps of Mt. Pleasant and remains active in community life.
