The cost basis for stock inherited from a decedent is generally the fair market value at the date of death. Moving expenses may be deductible if certain conditions are met per the 1040 instructions. Leaders Named for YM Career Session for Girls
Twelve community leaders from the YMCA youth work committee were named to run the Y career guidance seminars for ninth grade girls. The program begins Wednesday with a two hour session at St. Luke's hospital on medical careers. Four more seminars follow through May 1 with leaders from Mt. Mercy College First Presbyterian church Cedar Rapids public schools and local high schools guiding topics from social work to college entrance.

Sees No Moral Issue In Heart Transplants
