Floyd Bean of Grinnell, pianist and arranger, joins Jimmy McPartland’s band in Chicago and works with Louie Adrian’s group on a 13 week radio contract. His career spans Bob Crosby and Frankie Masters ensembles, with a featured piano role on sessions and regional stages. Bean credits early training, Bix Beiderbecke mentorship, and a love of symphonic music shaping his swing compositions.
