The vessel features lofty rooms to suit the ruler’s height, a 10 foot draft for stability, and three decks with two diesel engines capable of 15 to 16 knots. It will travel via Leningrad and Russian canals to the Volga and Caspian Sea, using a special cradle to navigate shallow waterways.

Priests Escape Yenan Siege After Five Months
Ten Spanish Franciscan priests endured a five month siege in Yenan Shensi province by communist troops. They fled on a 125 mile snow bound march led by Bishop Ibanez along with a garrison. Many soldiers and some priests died from exposure and combat. They reached Tungchow in weakened condition.
