Cedar Rapids proposes land deal to push Highway 100 extension
Cedar Rapids City Council and Linn County Board of Supervisors propose paying 200 000 each to the county Conservation Board to unlock a stalled 100 million project extending Highway 100 to Highway 30. The plan would transfer 100 acres near Rock Island State Preserve to city ownership with six acres used for an easement and right of way through the property. The Conservation Board would need to approve the deal at a joint meeting with the Board of Supervisors.
