Nature's Way Opens Wet Cleaning Dry Cleaners Pioneer
Richard Braden opened Nature's Way Cleaners on June 14 1996 at 500 Blairs Ferry Rd NE Cedar Rapids embracing Aquatex wet cleaning. The system uses water biodegradable detergents and targets difficult fabrics while avoiding perchloroethylene. Braden joined 15 shops nationwide using wet cleaning, while startup costs and industry reluctance pose barriers.
