Family Honeymoon at the Paramount with MacMurray
Loyally reviewed at the Paramount, Family Honeymoon stars Fred MacMurray and Claudette Colbert as newlyweds with three children. The plot follows a Grand Canyon honeymoon gone awry due to the kids and Rita Johnson’s character. Critics say the comedy fluctuates but yields some laughs and sharp lines amidst predictable setup.

Night Has a Thousand Eyes and Sealed Verdict At State Theater
Nadine Subotnik reviews two somber State Theater films. Night Has a Thousand Eyes stars Edward G Robinson as a fake clairvoyant whose visions foretell tragedy and twist the plot with Gail Russell and John Lund in supporting roles. Sealed Verdict follows a young American pursuing a Nazi war criminal amid romance with Florence Marly, but the film falters on motive and balance.
