Little Bohemia Tavern Nears Reopening After Flood
Historic Little Bohemia Tavern in New Bohemia remains closed two years after the 2008 flood. The 1883 building, famous for Marvin Cone’s 1941 painting and its Czech Village ties, is being repaired with state aid and the owner plans about 100000 in private funds. Proceeds from a reproduction of the painting funded flood recovery and public interest hopes to restore the museum-like history with photos and memorabilia.
