Aid Reaches Afghanistan Quake Area After Road Clearings
Aid supplies including food medicine tents and other relief items begin to flow into the quake shattered Nahrin region of Afghanistan after roads were cleared with explosives. Officials say the death toll is hundreds not thousands and aftershocks and landslides briefly hampered relief efforts. ACTED coordinator Sherine Zaghow said relief is moving along. The 6.11 magnitude quake affected about eighty villages in the mountains.
