The TGV France’s High Speed Train Sets Records
The TGV in France travels at speeds up to 162 mph and set a railspeed record at 187 mph. It runs routes across France with two hour forty minute trips and bright orange cars. A specialized new track with no sharp curves supports its fastest service and one operator can run the train after two years of training. In 1981 there were 38 TGVs carrying up to 380 passengers.
