Mrs. Gertrude A Goodhue fifty of 12 First avenue East was struck by the westbound North Western streamliner City of Portland at the First avenue and Fourth street crossing in Cedar Rapids at 9 45 pm Thursday. Witnesses say she walked with an umbrella as the flagman signaled and the engineer blew the horn. She was taken to St Luke's hospital with head chest and left side injuries and remained conscious but unable to recall the accident.
