Peter William Dykhuizen Jr. 78 of Cedar Rapids died March 24 2014 at Hospice House of Mercy. A memorial service will be held March 28 at Cedar Valley Bible Church with a prior greeting time and luncheon. Burial is private. He served aboard the USS Boxer and USS Apache, married twice, worked at Quaker Oats 38 years, and with Mary at Venue Works. He participated in an Eastern Iowa Honor Flight in May 2013. He leaves wife Mary two children Michael and Denise plus grandchildren and great grandchildren.
