Alliant Energy extends rate freeze through 2016
Alliant Energy's Interstate Power and Light customers will not see base electric rate increases through 2016 under a three year agreement with the Iowa Utilities Board. The deal provides 2014 70 million 2015 25 million and 2016 10 million in energy cost credits and outlines about 750 million in Iowa system investments from 2011 to 2014 to boost reliability and reduce emissions.
