Piggyback Method Cuts Student Pilot Casualties
At Williams Field Arizona the piggyback trainer program using two in one P-38 aircraft has cut student pilot casualties to three fatalities among 1 480 trained, a record safety improvement credited to Major George Crist and Lockheed test pilot Jimmy Mattern.
