City farmland tax hike approved by Senate
Iowa Senate votes 34 10 to raise city farmland and farm home taxes to equal rural rates. The bill would set farmland taxes at 3.00 per 1000 valuation and farm homes at 8.10 per 1000, with amendments affecting special assessments.
