An undercover GAO probe shows the Labor Department frequently botched wage and hour complaints, recording failures, delayed responses, and even falsified investigative work. Investigators posed as workers or firms on 10 cases, finding nine mishandled and half of tests unlogged in databases. The House committee plans a hearing.

Fed to Start Buying Up to 300 Billion in Treasurys
